About ESP Projects

ESP Projects is written by a home-automation hobbyist who runs Home Assistant at home and builds sensors and controllers out of ESP32 boards. The site grew out of notes from those projects: the configs that worked, the pins that didn't, and the math worth doing before cutting into ductwork.

Everything here is free. The tools run entirely in your browser — nothing you type into them is sent anywhere.

How guides are written

Each guide is checked against the current ESPHome documentation when it's published and updated when ESPHome changes something. If you spot an error or a config that no longer validates, let me know and I'll fix it.

ESP Projects isn't affiliated with ESPHome, Home Assistant, the Open Home Foundation, Espressif or any parts vendor. The site is supported by ads and by affiliate links: some product links go to Amazon, and as an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases. That never changes which parts a guide recommends.
